Dr. Howard S. Davidson is an educator and political activist. He is a founding editor of the JPP. He edited "Schooling in a Total Institution: Critical Perspectives on Prison Education," (Bergin & Garvey, 1995) and writes for adult educators on education and prisons, with a particular emphasis on the long history of prisoners' own educational activities. He is Associate Professor of Extended Education, University of Manitoba and Associate Director of Aboriginal Focus Programs. Currently, he is co-editing with Sami Adwan and Sami Al Khilani stories and articles by Palestinian political prisoners. He can be reached at hdavid@cc.umanitoba.ca. |
